Why oh Why does it always have to be so hard to get one's body in gear, take out the camera, and shoot some photos?  It isn't because of a lack of subject, or opportunity.  If anyone has any ideas on how to self motivate during the dog days of summer let me know.  Otherwise, I am just going to continue to kick back and enjoy a cool one!

Every once and awhile, it suits your purpose as a growing and developing artist, to review your portfolio and really look at your work with a critical eye.  Ask yourself some honest and pertinent questions as you examine your work, such as: "How does my work compare to my peers?" "Am I going in the direction that I have envisioned?" "Could I benefit from some technical growth?" and most importantly... "Am I getting boring, narrow and repetitive with my art?"
